Tap/Jazz

 Tap One (Ages 7+) 

 Foundations in Rhythm & Expression  

 This upbeat beginner class introduces students to the vibrant world of tap dance through fundamental steps like ball heels, shuffles, and flaps. Dancers build timing, musicality, and coordination through structured warm-ups, across-the-floor progressions, and center combinations. With a focus on clear sounds and expressive movement, this class nurtures both confidence and joy in rhythm-making—setting the stage for more advanced tap training.  


 Tap 2/3 (Ages 8+) 

Technique, Timing & Rhythm Mastery   

This level builds on foundational tap skills as dancers explore more intricate rhythms and combinations. Students develop musicality, speed, and clarity of sound while learning double and triple time steps, 3- and 5-beat riffs, turns, and stylized footwork. Emphasis is placed on precision, rhythm control, and performance quality—setting the stage for expressive and dynamic tap artistry. 


 Jazz 1 (Ages 7+) 

Foundations of Style & Confidence  

 This high-energy beginner class introduces students to the dynamic world of jazz dance. Through basic steps, rhythms, and stylized movement, dancers build coordination, musicality, and expressive flair. Emphasis is placed on developing technique and performance presence in a supportive environment that inspires confidence, creativity, and a lasting love for jazz. 

 

Jazz 2/3 (Ages 8+) 

 Expanding Technique & Expressive Style  

 In this dynamic class, dancers deepen their jazz technique while exploring a range of styles—classical jazz, musical theater, jazz funk, and lyrical/contemporary. Through structured warm-ups and across-the-floor progressions, students develop musicality, athleticism, alignment, and coordination. Emphasis is placed on expressive movement and performance versatility, empowering dancers to grow artistically and confidently across multiple genres.


 Dance for Performers (Ages 8+) 

 Choreography to Character  

 This energetic class bridges technical dance training with theatrical storytelling, helping students move with purpose and presence on stage. Through styles rooted in musical theater—jazz and stylized movement—performers learn to use their bodies as expressive instruments, enhancing character work, timing, and emotional clarity. Ideal for actors looking to build dance confidence and deepen their stagecraft. 


 Theater Tap (Ages 7+) 

Rhythm, Style & Storytelling   

This upbeat class brings musical theater to life—one tap at a time. Students explore classic and contemporary styles while developing coordination, rhythmic precision, and expressive movement. With an emphasis on storytelling through footwork and choreography featured in Broadway repertoire, Theater Tap builds both technical skill and stage-ready confidence for solos and ensemble performances alike. 

 

All Abilities Dance Class (Ages 5+) 

Joyful Movement for Every Body  

 This inclusive dance class invites individuals with special needs to experience the joy of movement, self-expression, and community connection. Dancers explore a variety of styles—ballet, jazz, and creative movement—in a fun, supportive environment adapted to all skill levels. Sessions begin with energetic warm-ups, followed by accessible across-the-floor activities and a collaborative group routine designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to observe or participate as needed—everyone belongs in this vibrant celebration of dance.

Ballet

 

Ballet One (Ages 7+) 

 Building the Classical Foundation   

The first step in our Pre-Professional Track, Ballet One focuses on proper posture, alignment, coordination, and strength, forming a strong base in classical ballet technique. Dancers also develop musicality and artistry while learning French ballet terminology. This class fosters discipline, confidence, and expressive movement, preparing students for higher-level training and long-term success in ballet.

Uniform Requirements

  • Girls: White SoDanca Tank Leotard with Princess Seams (Millie SL11 or Amelia SL10), Pink Tights, Split Sole Ballet Shoes (Pink), Optional Dance Skirt
  • Boys: White T-Shirt, Black Pants or Shorts, Split Sole Ballet Shoes (Black)

Ballet Two (Ages 8+) 

 Technique, Musicality & Artistic Growth  

 A pivotal step in our Pre-Professional Track, Ballet Level 2 refines dancers’ technical foundation through focused instruction in alignment, muscle awareness, and movement precision. Students deepen their ballet vocabulary while exploring the interplay between music and dance—learning to recognize time signatures, rhythmic structures, and classical compositions that shape expressive movement.

With added components like stretch and conditioning and music literacy, this level builds strength, flexibility, and artistic voice. Ballet Two sets the stage for more advanced training, cultivating discipline and creativity in equal measure.

Strength, Precision & Pre-Pointe Foundations  

 As dancers enter this advanced stage of our Pre-Professional Track, Ballet Three emphasizes refined leg extension, foot articulation, and upper body alignment in preparation for pre-pointe training. Through challenging barre and center work, students build muscle memory, artistic control, and technical fluency while developing strength, balance, and expressive movement sequences. Musicality and imaginative artistry are nurtured to support future aspirations in advanced training, competitions, or collegiate programs.

For emerging artists eager to refine their skills, this class deepens practice in line quality, proportion, shading, texture, and layered composition. Through thoughtfully guided projects, students build greater control and develop a personal visual style—while continuing to embrace imaginative exploration and creative risk-taking. An ideal next step for those ready to move beyond the basics and grow their artistic voice. 


 Studio Start (Ages 8+) 

 Weekly Medium Highlights    

This rotating studio course invites young artists to explore a diverse range of materials—charcoal, watercolor, ink, acrylics, and more. Each week introduces a new medium and skill, encouraging students to discover their unique artistic preferences through hands-on experimentation and creative expression. Studio Start builds foundational technique while sparking curiosity and confidence across surfaces and styles. 


 Creative Focus (Ages 8+) 

Painting, Anime & Expressive Drawing  

  This in-depth studio class is designed for dedicated young artists ready to hone their personal style. Students receive focused instruction in painting techniques, anime-inspired illustration, and expressive drawing. Projects emphasize character design, perspective, and composition, encouraging artistic growth and bold storytelling. Ideal for students eager to push creative boundaries and develop a strong visual voice. 

 

 Portrait & Realism Lab (Ages 8+) 

From Observation to Interpretation (75 minutes)   

This advanced studio-style class guides students through the foundations of portraiture and realism, focusing on facial structure, proportion, light, and tone. Learners then reimagine these techniques through expressive brushwork and abstract reinterpretation. Perfect for focused young artists, this course balances technical accuracy with artistic experimentation, helping students bring characters to life with both skill and imagination. 


 Color Alchemy: Painting Studio (Ages 8+) 

Watercolor, Acrylic & Oil Exploration (75 minutes)  

 This immersive studio course invites young artists to explore watercolor, acrylic, and beginner oil techniques through expressive, hands-on projects. Students develop essential skills in color mixing, layering, brushwork, and texture creation, gaining confidence across styles—from fluid washes to bold impasto. Designed to nurture each student’s unique voice, this class blends technical growth with imaginative freedom in a collaborative, supportive setting.

Emphasis is placed on memorization, creative risk-taking, and crafting polished performance pieces—setting the stage for confident, expressive young artists. 


Acting Technique (Ages 8+)

 This foundational class empowers young performers to embody authentic characters and share stories with clarity, emotion, and confidence. Through guided work in monologues, scene study, improvisation, and script analysis, students explore the tools of expressive performance—voice, movement, and presence. Lessons emphasize character development, listening skills, and emotional truth, helping actors grow both onstage and off.  

 

Vocal Performance (Ages 8+)

Audition Lab (Ages 8+)
